Non payment of paychecks
I worked for handy in 2021 and during that time I never received any pay for the hours I worked.
I have tried for 3 years even with the settlement court order to retrieve my pay with zero luck.
I have spent hours on their chats being promised to have someone call me back I. 24 hours. No one has ever gotten back to me.
They have not paid the settlement as court order either for misclassifying their workers.
They owe me over $700. With fines and penalties it would be over 5000$. I want my money and the restitution included. Handy.com steals money from its hard working employees! They are criminals who hope youll grow tired of trying and go away so they can keep your paycheck . Sorry not this time Handy. Ill contact the DA who handled this case today and let. Then know you refuse to pay the court ordered settlement and get a judgement against you .
Hopefully someone will *** them doe. For good because Im one of many with this same issue

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology.
Scheduled Handy to install TV last Wed
when we purchased it for 10 AM today. He called to say he was running late.
About an hour later he canceled entirely. We were told we could not reschedule until 11/27, which is after when we needed the work done.

twice t his week I was supposed to have someone at my house to set up my nest thermostat and twice they were a no-show, no call. I wasted 2 days, now I want a refund.

Scheduled this installation and kept moving the date so I had to keep changing my schedule. This was so bad that I had to find a installation crew of my own and pay them separately from the payment I have already paid.
I think they couldn't find a good installer to do the job. I will never use the Lowes or Angie service ever again

Purchased painting from Crate and Barrel, paid $75 installation fee and they arranged installation. I did not know at the time that it was through Angie/Handy.
Installation scheduled for Friday at 1:00, tech never showed up. Not sure why the *** they are called pros. The ESL people at customer service are totally useless. Reschedule for Sunday at 3 tech did not show up.
The useless customer disservice people offered to reschedule again. Told them to go to *** They deserve zero stars.

The Super Handy utility cart has handles that must be lifted; the heavy motor is under the back. It is way too heavy for me to lift and keep lifted.
It was advertised as returnable within 30 days. Amazon sent them a request for return eight days after it arrived. Super Handy did not respond then said it wasn't returnable. Their help line was very busy.
They said they would call me back but did not. False advertising, unresponsive.

I had booked furniture assembly through overstock.com. I changed my mind after consulting local retailers, and cancelled the booking through them.
Apparently the Handy website didn't get the message and I made other plans for that time. Later I received a text from Handy that someone had come to my house and that they want to charge me the full amount! I refuse to pay because I had notified overstock.com and cancelled the order.
In addition, the so-called pro was a con artist who also works for Angi and tried to scam me on another job a few months ago. This person is a pro at trying to scam seniors and does not belong working in this capacity.

The man I dealt with tried to scam me when he was working for Angi. He swiped my phone when he was in my home assembling furniture.
I had to leave the room for a brief moment and accessed my passwords. A few days later I received calls from somebody impersonating a FTC agent accusing me of international money laundering!
I reported this to the Sheriff and the real FTC . This was a complete scam.

Preferred solution: The company investigated by the real Federal Trade Commission and removed from doing business and scamming people especially senior citizens.

Handy.com is a borderline scam. Ive attempted to book a Handy Pro several times.
Handy charges you up front, books your appointment then cancels your appointment 1/2 hour before the appointment time. They then, reschedule the appointment without your consent & the Pro would not show up to work the day of your appointment again. It gets better, I requested a refund after missing 2 days of work & they gave me a 3 hour runaround on the phone, before they said they would refund me in 5 business days. After 5 days, they refunded only part of the amount I paid them for the job.
DO NOT USE HANDY.COM. They are running a scam & should be investigated

Appointment today at 1 pm for roof repair. I left business phone at home 504-430-****.

Pro changed time to 4 pm and arrived only to not be a roof repair service.
Additionally, there was a Language barrier without an interpreter present.
My tTime was valuables and the acceptance of the work should have been better screened. Thank you.

Billed for services never received
The worst. Do NOT use their app or you will be disappointed.
I am surprised they haven't been sued.
Their model is exploitative of both the customers and the so called "pros" who are supposedly contracted to do the work.
I tried to hire someone for housecleaning (I had injured my back and was desperate for help) -- they force you to sign up for a multiple service commitment. I paid $162 but the cleaners never showed up. no communication. no customer service hotline.
So I cancelled, obviously, expecting a refund.
instead they charged me an $99 "cancellation fee." !!! For No Services!!
So now I've spent $261 for housecleaners who NEVER SHOWED UP.
When I tried to get help on their "chat" it's obviously just a bot, who takes customers in circles, trying to offer me 20% off -- as if I would be stupid enough to bother with them again.
Handy is absolute garbage and I hope they lose their business license.
